WinterGreen Services LLC (“WinterGreen,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a property maintenance company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We provide professional lawn care and snow removal services to residential and commercial properties in the Milwaukee metro area.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information from our customers and workers. By using our services or platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect from Customers

When you sign up for or use our services, we may collect:

  • Full name, service address, phone number, and email address
  • Property details, including square footage estimates, service area maps, and access instructions
  • Service preferences and service history
  • Payment method information — processed and stored by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor. WinterGreen does not directly store your credit card numbers.
  • Communication records, including text messages and emails related to your service
  • Agreement acceptance records, including the date, method, and IP address at the time of acceptance
  • Before-and-after job photos of your property exterior, taken by our crew to document service quality

3. Data We Collect from Workers

For our W-2 employees, we may collect:

  • Full name, address, phone number, and email address
  • Government-issued identification (for identity verification only)
  • W-4 and tax information, processed via Gusto (our payroll provider)
  • Bank account details for direct deposit, processed via Gusto — not stored by WinterGreen
  • Service performance records and job history
  • Availability submissions
  • GPS-tagged before-and-after photos taken during service visits

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver, schedule, and manage lawn care and snow removal services
  • Calculate worker compensation (piece-rate per completed job)
  • Communicate with you about your service, including reminders, completion notifications, and billing
  • Process billing and payments
  • Resolve service disputes and quality issues
  • Comply with legal and tax obligations
  • Improve our internal operations and platform

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform. Each processes only the minimum data necessary for its function:

  • Stripe — payment processing (PCI DSS compliant; handles all card data)
  • Supabase — application database and authentication (data encrypted at rest)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (service confirmations, receipts)
  • Mapbox — route optimization and map displays
  • National Weather Service (NWS) — public snowfall data used to trigger snow removal services (no personal information is shared)
  • Gusto — payroll processing for workers (handles tax and bank data)
  • Google — address autocomplete for service address entry

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data to data brokers.

6. Data Storage & Security

  • Application data is hosted on Supabase cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest
  • Row Level Security (RLS) ensures that users can only access their own data
  • Payment card data never touches WinterGreen servers — Stripe handles all card processing and storage
  • Worker payroll and tax data is processed and stored by Gusto
  • Access to our systems is protected by authentication with role-based access control

7. Data Retention

  • Active account data: retained while your account is active
  • Financial records (payments, earnings): retained for 7 years per IRS requirements
  • Job photos: retained for 1 year after service for quality assurance and dispute resolution
  • Agreement acceptance records: retained for the duration of the relationship plus 4 years
  • SMS consent records: retained for 4 years per TCPA requirements
  • Deleted accounts: personal data is anonymized within 30 days of a deletion request, except where we are legally required to retain it

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (data export)
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to the legal retention requirements described above
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP to any message

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies only, for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not engage in cross-site tracking.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Data Breach Response

In the event of a data breach that poses a material risk of harm, we will notify affected individuals without unreasonable delay, as required by Wisconsin law (Wis. Stat. § 134.98). Notification will include the nature of the breach and steps you can take to protect yourself.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revision was made. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
